CraftDex Privacy Policy
This policy covers the CraftDex Discord bot and the CraftDex leaderboard, stats, and API on
craftdex.deadstudios.xyz. It explains what the bot stores about you, who it is shared with, and how to get
it deleted.
"We" and "us" mean Dead Studios, the developer of CraftDex. "You" means anyone who plays CraftDex or adds it to a Discord server.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for anything other than running the game.
Short version
- CraftDex stores your Discord user ID and your game progress. Nothing else identifies you.
- It does not read your messages. The only message content it stores is a guess you send in an active round.
- Your Discord ID and display name appear on the public leaderboard, in Discord and on this website.
- You can have your data deleted at any time: contact@deadstudios.xyz.

What CraftDex never collects
CraftDex does not read, log, or store your message history, DMs, or the contents of channels it is not running a round in. It does not collect your email address, IP address, password, payment details, voice data, or your server's member list.
What is public
CraftDex leaderboards are public. Your Discord user ID, your Discord display name, and your score are visible to other players in Discord and to anyone who opens the leaderboard or stats pages on this website, which read from our public API. If you do not want to appear there, do not play, or ask us to delete your data.
Farm detection
To stop people creating throwaway servers to farm rewards, CraftDex looks at server-level signals: how old the server is, how many humans and bots are in it, how many channels and roles it has, and how many rounds have run there.
When a server is flagged for review, that metadata — including the server name and the server owner's Discord ID — may be sent to DeepSeek, an AI provider, to help classify it. No player game data, message content, or member list is included. A farm result can lead to CraftDex being disabled in that server or leaving it.
Voting rewards
If you vote for CraftDex on discordbotlist.com, that site sends us a webhook containing your
Discord user ID and, in some cases, your username and avatar hash. We store this to grant your
reward and to stop double-claiming, and we may DM you to confirm it. What discordbotlist.com
collects before it reaches us is governed by their own privacy policy.
Images uploaded by server staff
Server staff can add custom collectibles with an uploaded image. Those images are stored on our server and shown to players in that server. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.
Who your data is shared with
- Discord — CraftDex runs entirely on Discord's platform, under Discord's privacy policy.
- Our hosting and database provider — stores the game database.
- DeepSeek — server metadata only, and only during a farm review, as described above.
- discordbotlist.com — vote notifications, if you choose to vote.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We will disclose it only if legally required to, or where it is necessary to investigate abuse of CraftDex.
Retention
Game data is kept as long as your profile exists, so your progress is not lost. Moderation and audit records are kept as long as they are needed for enforcement. If you ask for deletion, we remove your profile and the game data attached to it.
Getting your data deleted
Email contact@deadstudios.xyz with your Discord user ID to get a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted. Deletion is handled manually, so allow us a reasonable window to action it.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honour these requests regardless of where you are. We may keep a minimal record of a blacklist entry after deletion, since otherwise a ban could be erased by asking us to erase it.
Children
CraftDex is not intended for anyone under 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent in their country. Discord's own terms require the same. If we learn we hold data from a child below that age, we delete it.
Security
Access to the game database and admin tooling is restricted to Dead Studios staff, and the admin dashboard is not reachable from the public internet. No system is perfectly secure, but CraftDex stores no passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal information.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change, and the date at the top will change with it. Continuing to play after an update means you accept the revised policy.
